Don't Cry for Me, Little Author
As an Indie Author and publisher since 2009, this day is one I first of all never expected to happen back then, and secondly, wished would never happen.
You're the One I Loved
My experiences with CreateSpace company and staff over the years has been very special. They were one of the first online publishing companies I dealt with. They won my heart and my titles.
This was the first email sent by CreateSpace: Dated 6 February 2009
Our relationship was smooth and fulfilling and I never knew it would ever end. All good things must come to an end - suddenly.
Yesterday, their ultimatum emails arrived and headed to my junk folder!
CreateSpace, You are Breaking My Heart
And another email:I Believed in You
Now CreateSpace and Kindle direct publishing are locking resources and metamorphosing into KDPI see the World Closing Indie Me
The cost will be higher to publish to the same standard.I Try
As an independent author and publisher I must now make crucial decisions that will not simply cost me more pain, but the price may be much higher than we assume. All my little ones (titles) must move with me to another place. We will Survive
I say, "we" as this involves thousands of Indie Authors who must now pack up their things and move into some trailer until the dust settles.2 Hearts Broken
We cannot see inside CreateSpace hearts, but we know that they too have suffered in this breakup and that gives me comfort, knowing that I was truly loved for 9 years. The crucial wedge came when they removed the small cost of expanded publishing a few years ago ($29) ?

These are some of my thoughts about moving from CreateSpace book publishing to a new destination. Never liked packing up and this feels like a terrifying move. Farewell CreateSpace support and so many lovely persons who helped me over the years. I shall not forget you. Marie Seltenrych (Author Editor, Publisher, Graphic Artist and Grandmother)
